School policies are put in place to guide the day-to-day functioning of our school as well as to make it safe and an effective place for learning to occur.



Admission Policy
This Admission Policy complies with the requirements of the Education Act 1998, the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 and the Equal Status Act 2000.
Code of Behaviour
In compliance with Section 23 of the Education (Welfare) Act 2000, the Board of Management of Raheen National School has prepared and made available a Code of Behaviour for its Pupils, Staff and Parents.
Child Protection Policy
St Joseph’s National School, Fermoy aims to provide its pupils with the highest standards of care and protection, in order to promote each child’s well-being and safe guard him/her from harm.



Child Safeguarding Statement & Risk Assessment
In accordance with the requirements of the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017, the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools 2017 and Tusla Guidance.
Anti-Bullying Policy
In accordance with the requirements of the Education (Welfare) Act 2000 and the code of behaviour guidelines issued by the NEWB, the Board of Management of Raheen National School adopted the following anti-bullying policy within the framework of the school’s overall code of behaviour.
Critical Incident Policy
St. Joseph’s N.S. aims to protect the well-being of its students by providing a safe and nurturing environment at all times. We have taken a number of measures to create a coping, supportive and caring ethos in the school.

The Board of Management and all school staff are responsible for the implementation of this plan and a combined effort will help contain the spread of the virus.
